Friends & Lovers: Hypothalamus
The Wild Hypothalamus Disorder, commonly known as “Sand Brain” derives its’ name from a malfunction of the hypothalamus that in part controls the human emotion of love and happiness. The main symptoms of Sand Brain include a fixation on an impossible love affair. The term Sand Brain comes from how everything at this state of mind seems pink, fluffy, and let’s-walk-on-a-sunset-beachy, although there are visible thunder clouds in the very near horizon.
There is only one known cure for Sand Brain, but it has not been proven effective.
The hypothalamus, deep inside the brain, must be slowly turned into stone, to stop it from affecting any other parts of the brain. When this fossilisation process is complete, the hypothalamus will we wrapped in a protective layer of plastic that keeps it from becoming active again, and it is placed back into the diencephalon.
Recovery time in most of the known cases of Wild Hypothalamus Disorder is one human lifetime.
This procedure has proven ineffective, mostly for unknown causes. Yet, human beings continue insisting in going through with the procedure.
